*relieved sigh*
Well, despite 5 hours sleep, our presentation went okay. We went a little over time, the guys after us did a better job (with a more interesting topic, IMO), but hey, that part's out of the way.
Picked up the Gargoyles DVD at Best Buy (with the help of a very nice salesperson who finally tracked it down to some stacks of new DVDs on a table)... and as far as the documentary goes, I am so incredibly relieved.
I'm in, oh, two shots and one fast pan. No close-ups. They didn't use my interview, they didn't use any shots of me at the Masquerade screwing up the cosplay because I was sick. So I didn't make the fandom look bad. Whew.
I'm probably one of the only people who's happy not to have gotten a lot of air time in the documentary, but seriously - I was not feeling well that weekend. I wasn't coherent, I wasn't sleeping right, and was completely out-of-sorts. I don't want to know what I looked like that weekend, because I'm sure I looked like hell and didn't want it immortalized on video for the world to see.
They did use quite a bit from the radio play, from some of the life drawing panel, a lot of Keith David's Mug-A-Guest (where I can be seen with my camera in the background). Sadly, I didn't see anything from the Voice Acting panel or from the karaoke (I still think
emambu's rendition of "Blame Gargoyles" deserved a second or two - wait, was the camera crew there or did they bail at that point? I don't remember. That was around the time I got sick to my stomach, went to the room and passed out for a straight hour.)
Speaking of passing out, it's nearly nine. Better figure out which show I'm going to tape and which one I'll watch.
