oy.

As I came back from my walk, who should step out of the building but Bridget, carrying two shopping bags and timing that was too good to be coincidental.

"Mandi, could you drive me over to Rebecca's?"

Now were this any other neighbor I know, I'd have said yes. It was dusk, it was rainy, and Rebecca's place is on the opposite end of the apartment complex - not a long drive, but a long walk.

But it was Bridget, so I said no and went into the building, ignoring her whining.

I know if I'd said yes, it wouldn't stop there.

I really don't feel bad about saying no, but I'll keep an eye out for retaliation. I'm going to take the trash out in about an hour and inspect my car for egg damage.

On a lighter note, the hint site is updated. So is the Jelly Belly Recipes page.

Good for you!

Sounds as if you have a history with this woman, but regardless of that, it is important to be able to say NO once in a while. Otherwise, it's too easy to end up being a doormat for everyone.

Go Mandi!

Her again?
