mandolin: (house - ouch)

TGIF, kind of. Sort of.

Since AIM refuses to work for me no matter what computer I use (although I'm starting to suspect the reason why on one machine), I'm going to have to explain my lack of sanity here.

Talked to my cousin on Wednesday about looking at houses, and realized that had to be put off for the week.

My Grandma had been out on the back porch of her house, fell down and broke her hip. Her GOOD hip - the one she hadn't broken yet.

This, of course, is going on less than two weeks before my aunt, the nurse who took care of her the last time something like this happened, moves to Florida. While it's nowhere near as bad as the last time she broke something, this is naturally opening up a big can of worms over what Grandma's going to do. At least the hospital she's in is close to my office, so I'm going to visit her during lunch. She's apparently doing fine, the surgery took half an hour and she's mostly mad at herself more than anything else... but she doesn't need this now. *sigh*

Try downloading Trillian instead. :) If you haven't heard of it, it'll let you connect to AIM through their program (and MSN, and ICQ, and Yahoo! IM, and IRC, all through one program). 'Tis very cool.

I've got Trilian on the machine I mostly use IM on. It's not working here, either. But thanks. :)

Your grandmother is in my prayers. I hope she is able to recover quickly. *hugs*
