JLU: "Divided We Fall"

Spoilers for last night's episode. Well, okay, more like incoherent babble, but hey.


*blinkblinkblink* Okay, I suppose that does explain it, but... Brainiac in Lex is STILL messed up beyond belief. But it does explain the cancer cure, the super strength, Lex getting a little more reckless than usual.

You know, I have to have a lot more respect for Amanda Waller at this point - in the middle of all that hell, she was still checking on John instead of running for safety. Sure, John had to shove her out of the way of Brainiac's strike at the last second, but she knew exactly what kind of danger she was in. (Okay, I also cheated and watched a copy of "Epilogue" someone sent me, and that plus the comments she made to Terry puts her in the plus column.)

Seeing the League kick ass is par for the course, but seeing Flash be the one to take out Brainiac was just damned FUN.

Eeee! Speed force! *bounce*

J'onn can sense his spirit, and all Shayera has to do is walk a few steps, feel around, and she magically finds a portal? Is this some Thanagarian talent they forgot to mention or that was in an episode I missed? (I know, they were pressed for time, but I laughed in spite of myself. I forgave them since we got Flash back, but it was a little corny.)

Pfft. Like Batman's actually going to be totally MIA from the League.

...So is there going to be another season or not?

It was interesting though that Shayera pulled him back first. I've always seen a strong brother/sister bond there.

It was so great to see Flash finally come into his own as hero, I really like the character arc. And any Flash angst is welcome.

The cool thing about Amanda Waller is - (well, one of the cool things) is that Batman is the only character who really understands her. She canceled an airstrike that she had actually called in on herself at the end there. She kinda ended up in the plus column to me as well (and I didn't expect that at all). She's really nasty until you understand that she has motivations of her own, and some of them seem kind of noble.

I felt like you did about Flash. I was confused about having Hawkgirl be able to locate him. Surely Wonder Woman, or even Manhunter himself should have been the one to locate the .. whatever that was.

I was almost ready to see the JLU broken up into smaller teams and have the series change again at the end. I really want to see the traditional teams (Seven Soldiers, JSA, the Gotham guys, the Detroit JLA team, the JLI-ish team).

I was kinda hoping Captain Marvel would show back up after they couldn't get help from the Watchtower or the New Mexico rescue team, but I can see how that would have changed the story.

Seeing the Justice Lords again was fun.

I think Wally was "coming back" to say good-bye, and the Thingy materialized beside Shayera because she and John are his two best friends on the team.

I loved it!!! Does Dr. Light have lines in epilogue? I heard she got to talk a little, but did I miss it in Divided We Fall???
