I wanted an appropriate icon for this, but...

Stupid class. No time.

Gargoyles Season 2, Volume 1 is OUT!!! With the first 26 eps of the second season, as well as commentary on all 4 parts of "City of Stone!"

GO BUY IT!

Please! We want the rest of Season 2 released, but they'll only do that if they think sales are worth it!

That is all.

*goes back to work*

.... WHY did no one tell me this was coming out?!

*squee*

'Cause I squealed about it waay back in August and then got swallowed up by the house and grad school stuff? ;)

Sorry.

Hee. Wasn't really directed at you. I'm used to it, actually; no one ever tells me anything. Like finding out three weeks later that my cousin gave birth to the first of the new generation in our family.

But yes. Am squeeing. And asking for it for Christmas. ;)

Oh gods. That's right. Gargoyles comes out this week TOO. I SO cannot afford it. I'll just have to wait a week or so. DAMN(but good too).

Cheers and Good Fortune. ^_^

Y'know, I never did see all of "City of Stone". I think I only caught the ending...but most of my memory of Season Two is spotty, at best. I remember it being kind of tricky to get home in time to see Gargoyles second season (bus route took > an hour, bleah), and I kind of gave up trying to bend the laws of Time and Physics to my VCR-less whims when they hit the randomly-wandering-around-in-a-boat arc.

Now, what I'd like to know is, what's the burden of proof for getting Disney to release DVD Season Box Sets of other "Disney Afternoon" series? Like Darkwing Duck. Or TaleSpin. I mean, it won awards for animation and story, and seeing as how its fans are still rabid enough to fork over $500 for fricken' *cels* (not complaining; it's how I pay my bills), there's still plenty of interest in the series....

From my experience, getting the show's creators involved with the fandom and not scaring them off helps. I think I mentioned the TaleSpin con to Greg Weisman and Vic Cook back in '03 and Vic said, "Hey, I wonder if Bob Taylor heard about that!" Seriously, if the fandom hadn't been able to convince Greg to come to convention after convention, I don't think Disney would have noticed because there wouldn't be someone in the business involved with the fans who could say, "Hey, look, there's still a market for this!"

Getting them to actually ADVERTISE the release worth a damn is another story entirely.

Oh, and you're exempt from the mandate to go buy it. Heck, you're not allowed. :)
