Dear construction workers:

You were hired to renovate the other half of the building.

Setting the building on fire regularly does NOT contribute to that goal.

No love,
the employee who's tired of having to evacuate the building weekly

*snort* If they're literally doing that (and not just setting the alarms off with smoke), surely they're creating an unsafe work environment...?

I don't know, the security guards won't tell us, but given the regularity I'm pretty sure it's the construction workers.

For some reason, this strikes me as HILARIOUS!

It is pretty funny now. However, if this continues when it's 40 degrees outside, it may not be.

I wasn't complaining today; it got me out of the mind-numbing training class from hell for a bit.

Oh, I don't know. It strikes me as a fabulous way of extending the terms of the contract to include rennovating the entire building, and gives them great excuses for running over time and budget estimates... ;P

Doesn't work in this case, they already did the other half of the building. The excuse is that they're idiots. My friend Mike got moved across the street, and he's actually going to be among the group staying there. He doesn't trust the construction workers to not forget to wire everything properly, et cetera. I don't blame him.
