Question

Still running all around and to and fro. Things are not bad, just very busy.

But since I'm reminded of it: my cousin is looking for something that will easily allow her to blog and post photos (with an easily-customizable photo gallery) of a cross-country road trip. I'd be tempted to just get her a paid LJ account, but Scrapbook utterly fails and she doesn't know HTML. For personal reasons (family stuff), this is a lot more important than just a fun road trip. Can anyone recommend something that can meet the blogging and photo gallery needs of someone who has a decent amount of Internet experience but not much time to learn Photoshop or HTML?

Have you looked at ImageShack? The pictures are easy to upload, and you'll get the html codes for posting to (pretty much) any blog at the click of a button. There's even a handy toolbar extension for both IE and Firefox (not compatible with Firefox 3, though).

If she has a website, I suggest Gallery: http://gallery.menalto.com/

I've been using that since... 2004 or 2005. Don't need to learn much in the way to use it, but one does need to know certain technical related things about the webhost that would be used before you try to set it up (the site will give you a list of what to look for), but once the main setup is a go, don't need to worry about that afterwards.

I've heard grand things about iWeb's ability to do this sort of thing, but haven't tried it myself, and anyways she'd need to have a Mac.

The twins like Google's Picasaweb (http://picasaweb.google.com), but other than using it to browse their Egypt photos I haven't played with it.
