NOW they notice?

So I'm in the pharmacy, and I grab a copy of the TV Guide that says: "Forget Trek! Stargate SG-1 is now sci-fi's biggest hit!"

My first response - "Yeah. Took them seven seasons to realize that?" :)

(Yes, I know, I was one of those people who had Showtime since the beginning, but still.)

Boy and I saw that issue. My response was, "Well, they *cancelled* everything else." Boy objected, on principle, and then we went through the entire sciemce fiction roster of things still in production. And we came up with SG-1, ENT, and (only on a technicality) Angel. So yep, no objections, SG-1 is sci-fi's biggest hit all right. And hey, it's a decent show, and Boy likes it quite a lot, but it's kind of like saying "The West Wing is the biggest White House themed hit!" Um, yes? And?

Wait, I guess Smallville is in on that same technicality. And still.

Good point. 'Specially agree with the part about them cancelling everything else. Doesn't leave much else to the realm of sci-fi.
