Well, talk about Friday the 13th!
Those who read
mandichaos know that my apartment was broken into on Friday.
I'm okay, just pissed and out all my DVDs, my TV, VCR, DVD player and the cable modem, which they thoughtfully ripped out of the wall and cut the CAT-5 cable while they were at it.
Will not have Net access at home until 8 pm EST Sunday night at the latest (or I will storm the Comcast offices screaming bloody murder since they already lied to me about the date and I have to stay home 12 hours for the repair crew). I am borrowing my aunt's computer to post this.
Anyone contacting me to say "Why haven't you updated (insert series or story or site here)?" will be appropriately screamed at. Anyone trying to wish me a happy V-Day will be smacked.
More importantly,
bktheirregular, happy birthday. I hope your day is better than mine. *hugs*

Target has cheap TV's, if you want to buy one to replace it right away.
I really hope the rest of the day is better for you.
Re:
And I do have another TV - the teeny one from my college dorm.
Can't watch anything because they chopped/ripped the coaxial cable off rather than spend a second to unplug stuff. (Seriously, I'm glad they were in a rush. I could have lost a lot more if they had a lot of time.)

I am so sorry to hear about this. As you say, though, it could've been worse. And what they took was more or less replacable. I can somewhat relate to this, as I had a bunch of stuff stolen from a friend's place a while back. Most of it was books and videos, although a couple of those videos belonged to my brother (which royally ticked me off), but the things they got that to this day I'm truly upset about are all my yearbooks, from junior high and high school.
*hugs* Hope the rest of the weekend goes better.
Oh... and happy V-Day. ;)

(And if I were in your neighborhood, I could probably repair that cut cable with a ninety-nine cent connector from RadioShack ... don't let 'em charge you too much (if anything) for that part of the repair job.)
Michael Kay has declared today to be a Day of Hate ... I say go him. :)
