squeee!!

So a while back, I was all excited that ABC Family was re-airing Disney's Gargoyles starting a few weeks ago. I'm taping and watching episodes now, and when the episode title came up, I couldn't help but squeal.

Dude!

They're showing "Deadly Force!" They DIDN'T decide to pre-empt it!

Sweet!

(Edit: For non-Gargs fans who are going, "Why are you squealing?" ...this is the first time in years the ep's been shown on TV. Toon Disney apparently didn't even have the guts to air the episode - never mind that it actually promoted gun SAFETY, and in no way encouraged kids to fool around with guns. Very Special Episode themes aside, it's nice to see they had the guts to finally show the episode.)

And here I just thought it was depressing.

I'm just all... yeah. I wasn't expecting a Very Special Episode of Gargoyles.

Thank goodness Power Rangers doesn't do those.

(Though I'm glad they had the sense NOT to preempt it-- that's a VERY good way of showing not to play with guns. And they were very careful to make it serious...)

The reason I'm squee-ing?

Toon Disney reportedly ALWAYS pre-empted the episode when they re-ran it. Didn't even cut it - they just wouldn't SHOW it. And that made me MAD. So I was surprised that ABC Family went ahead and showed the episode.

I didn't get to watch the whole episode today. I am SO looking forward to the DVD set this year!
