Finally, the *real* reason why there hasn't been a Pink Ranger for the last couple of PR series... they didn't want to be associated with gangs (we will ignore that whole Sentai issue, of course... because logic? who needs it!)

Actually, I teach in a school in a gang-infested area, and pink IS associated with the Crips right now. Yep. It's true.
