Geez...

You know, I've always had my reservations about Fanfiction.net, but it's always been a good way for me to get new story parts out with a minimum of HTML coding and a fairly decent means of getting feedback. (Of course, for every one review you see that's coherent and decent, there's two more that are unintelligible... but I digress.) People in general seem to be more comfortable with posting short reviews than they are with e-mailing authors directly. (Which doesn't make sense if you figure that Review Alert is working again.)

With that in mind, I'm floored. I posted "Mind Games," went to bed, checked my inbox at work the next morning... to find seven reviews overnight.

Stuff that I've planned out, that I've taken the time to outline and work out, doesn't get such a reaction. But a fic that was conceived in the wee hours of the morning, partly written while visiting War and having lots of sugar, was pretty much unplanned and un-beta-read, got a ton of feedback overnight.

Either readers are fickle, or this is just the mystery that is my brain. Or maybe it's just the effect of Teela cold-cocking Adam. :)

I'm highly amused. I really am.

i think i liked that one better than the other he-man ones because it somehow felt more like an actual episode (albeit one that changes something permanently plot-wise): it felt half-an-hour-ish, it even had the same type of ending.
