Survived the privacy debate last night. Since it was scheduled at the very end of class, EVERYONE wanted to get the hell out of there, and we didn't have enough time to cover the more interesting points of our defense of consumer privacy. (I really wanted to get into the EU privacy laws and the headache that's causing businesses that don't comply.) It went okay - unfortunately, when we hit the rebuttals, it felt like I was doing most of the talking. To be fair, I had a lot more research, but still. And of course, I talked WAY too fast and stumbled, but at least I was loud enough. I was so happy when the whole thing was over, and the class - who had evaluation forms instead of having to vote - were pretty kind to us.
In other news, the front room and the dining room of the Great White Elephant have been freshly painted and damn, do they look better. Mom, Chris, Vi, Bruce: you rock. Thank you so much. :)
