Tried to work on and upload a massive update to the site today, and have concluded that Tripod is not worth the bother.
I only got this Tripod account so that I could upload hint site updates on my lunch break, since I can't FTP from work. Lately, with all the separate pages I have to upload and test, and all the banner code that chokes each and every one of them... I got halfway through the uploads and tests when I threw up my hands in disgust. I mean, come on, the entire site fits on two floppies! It's just the sheer amount of separate pages that are getting annoying.
I'm currently putting all the related files I can find on a couple of disks. I plan to move the hint site to a subdirectory of my current site - I have the space, there will be no banners, the only drawback will be that I won't be able to upload til I get home.
So the hint site will be moving, and I'll post the link at the old site and here when I make the move. I'd like folks to check out the new site when it moves to ensure that all the pages are correctly updated and I don't have any outdated versions or hints. Broken links will be likely, and heads-up for that sort of thing will be appreciated.
