Delayed realization time?
Apr. 12th, 2005 09:48 pmWatching House, and the trailer for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy came on.
Now I've been pretty intrigued by this film so far, even more so when Alan Rickman signed on as Marvin's voice. And I've known who the main cast is for quite some time; when Martin Freeman was signed as Arthur, I went, "Okay," and went back to my life.
Here's the stupid thing: I got a hold of and watched the entire series run of the BBC series "The Office" over a year ago, and watched the holiday special a few months ago. I adored that series, I just can't watch the US version without comparing the two now, and no one can top Ricky Gervais' David Brent. But I really loved the main character of the series, Tim (played by Martin Freeman, see where this is going?), despite his occasional stupid moments with the other blonde in Season 2. And as non-romantic as I am, I was always rooting for Tim and Dawn and squealed at the end of the holiday special when she finally got a clue, ditched her idiot fiancee and went after Tim. Well, okay, I didn't squeal so much as I went, "It's about damn time!"
Only NOW have I taken a good look at the trailer, realized that we were not talking about two separate Martin Freemans this time and went, "Eee! It's Tim!"
I am DEFINITELY going to be seeing the movie in theaters now.
How long did it take me to realize this?
