mandolin: (easy green)
...Well, all but the kitchen floor, my bathroom and my bedroom. Not bad for 3 hours' work. Addition to that list of resolutions - when I have housework to do, do it as soon as I get home and get it over with. That's been part of my problem these past 2 weeks.

If anyone remembers the Wallflowers' "Bringing Down the House" fondly... go pick up a copy of "Red Letter Days." Seriously. I've probably been driving my neighbors nuts with it by now.

Bought a new mattress yesterday, will have it delivered next week. (No WAY I'm going to transport a mattress and box spring in my itty-bitty car. It may be 4-door, but it's considered a "small car" for a reason.) Last night, I realized just how BAD my current mattress is. I swear, I should have replaced that stupid thing last year. I'm amazed it took me so long to realize it. I'm going to be relying on my air mattress for the next few nights. Did I get ripped off? No, I don't believe so. Could I have found the same mattress for less? Yeah. probably. With a month's worth of comparison shopping and haggling. I'm not waiting a month.

Now I just have to wait 4-5 days... *sigh*

Didn't have much time for writing stuff today. Between work and this evening's cleaning spree, there wasn't much left over. Besides, fun with the power lines ensued this afternoon - I'm working on my JSP, and all of a sudden, the power to my computer goes off. Just like that. It just cut out for six of us in the aisle. Took Maintenance half an hour to get to it (which is pretty good), but by the time the power was on, it was 3:30 and I planned to leave anyway. So people teased me that I was leaving because of the power blip.

Lastly, in my search for good Spider-Girl fanfic, the total has risen to a whopping 2 good fanfics:

Rooftop Talk Beneath the Stars by Pip's Sister - Missing scene post-SG #51. Mayday and Mary Jane discuss a certain love letter.
Mayday Parker: Spider-Girl by Tokoyo - A reimagining of the Spider-Girl origins, tied more to the movie than the comic books, but still really good and by someone who can actually write action scenes (unlike moi). Wish it wasn't just on ff.net.

I could clean the kitchen floor, but... naah. Bed now. :)
