It's a sad day to hear this news. I listened to Pavarotti a few times in my life and the man did have an incredible talent and voice.
My biggest memory of him though comes from a movie my mother watched several years ago: "Yes, Georgio!", which was about a famous opera singer who loses his voice during a world tour and, in order to treat it sees a female throat specialist. The two end up falling in love, and the story moves on from there... had some funny and romantic scenes, including a sequence where Georgio takes his lady back to his private estate, and their loveplay makes life a bit hectic for his Oriental housekeepers; Kwan and his wife. ^_^
He was a grand master and his voice will sorely be missed.
