Home again, home again...
Jul. 6th, 2003 09:16 pm*yawn*
Got into BWI from O'Hare at 9 am this morning, spent rest of day getting Plague back to Ocean City, and now Death and I are crashing at my place and watching Stargate. Had fun, filled up my entire memory card with photos, didn't get to see
tinagilman but did get to chat with
mtgat on the phone a bit. Hotel was nice, although the staff wasn't entirely on the ball with some things. (Hey, if War wasn't such a consummate insomniac, we'd have missed our flight because they forgot our 4 am wake-up call.)
Will get my act together... sometime this week, I suppose. I came down with a cold over this weekend, and I really will have no qualms about calling in sick if it sticks around til tomorrow morning. It's a bit messy in here. :)
Need to go beat the creativity demons now... a second viewing of "Fragile Balance" has them squawking over Jack-in-high-school ideas. Ack.

Date: 2003-07-06 07:46 pm (UTC)I'm thinking, would he actually STAY happy in high school. I mean, it's going to be way beneath him academically, and youth culture is going to be strange. Not to mention the complete lack of beer.
Well...complete lack of beer accessible in a non-party situation.
Oh, double, triple better if Jack, being young again, and having that whole evolution thing going for him is a TP.
But I can't see Jack staying HAPPY in high school for long. Especially since he's going to find out the complete LACK of freedom is a pain and the fact that even HE'S too sophisticated for it is not worth the "being young" again thing he's doing.
To quote Bridger (paraphrased):
"Being young was hard enough the first time. I don't know why anyone would want to take a pill to do it again."
But yeah...
Also, being completely shamless, got a little TP/SG-1 xover going on. Can I possibly get you to give it a once over when I'm done?

Date: 2003-07-07 05:48 am (UTC)Proof that great minds think alike... that's pretty much one of the ideas that had me getting out the flyswatter. *snerk* I think something like that would have Jack going off on a rant about Loki REALLY making his life insane. Although once he got over it and realized just what he could get away with, the havoc that Teen!Jack and Megabyte might wreak would be amusing as anything.
The demons also wondered how Maybourne would react if he ran into Teen!Jack - not that it would ever happen post-"Paradise Lost," but I laughed my ass off considering that one.

Sure, pass it on. Love to. :)
