mandolin | I hate Mondays.

This was my morning. (For those wondering, my original intent was to get up and be into work around 6 or 6:30.)

5:30 a.m. - Woke up, got sick, decided to go back to bed and call in sick.
6:00 a.m. - Even with earplugs, was woken by upstairs neighbor, who I think was RUNNING around doing something. (The floors are noisy, but the dish-rattling "thudthudthudthudthud" belied any thought that he was just walking around.) Rolled over and tried to sleep through it since he usually leaves by 8.
8:15 a.m. - Gave up and got in the shower since neighbor still hadn't left for work. Breakfast stayed down, had no fever, figured I might as well go in since I had NO idea when the neighbor was leaving and couldn't sleep.
8:50 a.m. - Got to the side entrance at work to realize I didn't have my badge. Got back in the car.
8:55 a.m. - Realized something and pulled over.
8:56 a.m. - Found badge in purse.
9:00 a.m. - Finally got into work.

I'm taking sick leave and leaving at 2. Can you blame me?
