mandolinDucking into an Internet cafe at the beach to post... and got caught up reading all these G2004 con journals. You people jacked up my time by getting me to read all these, darn it!
Seriously, though - if I go to G2005 it's going to be better planned. I got to G2004 while still recovering from Otakon and trying to plan for my niece's birthday and grad school stuff simultaneously, without really making any plans short of getting a last-minute pickup from the airport and arranging to have roommates. I had stress following me to Montreal and had stress waiting for me after the con, which is why I think I made myself sick and missed out on a lot of stuff. I had no idea what I missed until I read some of the journals so far.
I'm still going to post mine, but... it's going to be pretty brief. I don't have that much in the way of interesting anecdotes for G2004, and very little that hasn't been covered by others already.
Next year, if I go, it's going to be a bona fide vacation, darn it. Between before-and-after nonstop panic and issues with customs and the airport, my stress and health made it not as enjoyable as it could have been.
Off to hit the boardwalk before I hit 30 mins here, all...
