mandolinNo "House" commentary this week, all, I had to get to bed at a decent hour last night to make it into work before 7 so I could get out to look at a house after work today. Stupid rain. (Which turned out not to matter since the listing agent did not reply to any of my realtor's messages over the last 30 hours.)

taraljc has made me realize that maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought I was.
Before you all ask, no, I am not taking time off from fandom. I'm already at the fringe of most fandoms I'm a part of already.
I'm taking a break from fanfic. Specifically, from reading fanfic. I am seriously starting to think that it's actually contributing to my block, because I can't tell the difference between "hit-and-run" story ideas spawned from others' stories (or ideas that are way too close to stories I've read) and between good, original, solid story ideas.
Just a thought. At the very least, it'll make me less likely to borrow ideas from other authors...
