Okay, then...
Apr. 21st, 2005 03:42 pmSince I have pretty much figured that the chances of me finding a house that a) I like and b) I can afford before July is pretty much nil, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and make a decision.
Does anyone need a roommate for the 2005 Gathering in Vegas?
I am already registered. I would like to be around before and after the con. My usual roomie is only going to be around Wednesday through Saturday, and since I'd like to stick around for closing ceremonies and afterwards, that puts me in a bit of a bind. I know this is later than usual, but the house hunt isn't really getting anywhere and the notion of staying in my apartment isn't too bad. (Seriously, my apartment complex is apparently the nicest place for the least amount of rent in my area, which would explain the waiting list people have to be on to get in. Really, if Bridget disappeared it would be perfect.)
*looks at friends list pleadingly*
Yeah, I should have planned ahead earlier, but I underestimated how NUTS the housing market in central Maryland is. Even if renting is just "throwing my money away," at least I'll have money. Around here, people are asking over $200K for houses that I'd have to sink another five grand into for repairs at least. I don't think so.
And you know, as Murphy's Law works, if I get signed up I'll probably find something. But hey.
