How to classify this blooper?
May. 20th, 2003 03:37 pmLooked at my calendar today and saw I had a 1:30 meeting; stopped to check what room it was in before heading over. Got to the room, and didn't see anyone from my team there. But the division head was there, and he waved me in, so I figured it was the right meeting.
As I sat there, I realized this was NOT the meeting I was invited to. It wasn't irrelevant to my job, and good to know, but I could just imagine the response when I would have to tell my team leader where I'd been. Ouch.
So I walked back to my cube, feeling really dumb and wondering if the meeting had been relocated and worrying if I'd get in trouble for being an hour late because I went to the wrong meeting.
Then I took a good look at my calendar.
The meeting I thought I missed? Scheduled for WEDNESDAY.
Whew. :)
