Okay, it's official. I'm sick. Throat still hurts, chest cough is a bitch and I'm suddenly really sore after having no problems for a month. Worse, it's keeping me from sleeping. So I figured I'd just go to the 40 West walk-in clinic and make my annual trip there instead of driving to my doctor's in the next county. Last I checked, they didn't open til 4 on Fridays, but I figured I could wait it out. I did call to check.

Guess what? They are now TOTALLY CLOSED on Fridays and Sundays. Which means if you get sick then, you are SOL.

Called around, looked on Switchboard, trying to find clinics in Howard County that weren't a long drive away. No dice. My office opens at 10:30 today, and part of me is just tempted to call in sick but go there anyway just to go to Employee Health Services and have the nurse take a look at me. Of course, that assumes that EHS will even be open and staffed.

I don't want to go to the emergency room for this, I really don't. But dammit, it looks like I'm going to have to.

Back from the ER, and fortunately it only took me an hour.

I have bronchitis. Wheee!

(I also have Zithromax, hence the cheering, and have called in sick to work. Think I'll sleep while my computer downloads stuff.)
