mandolinYawn. Just got back from a ballgame at Camden Yards. Red Sox beat Orioles, 8-7. Being a Marylander, I rooted for the O's.
Damned best time I've had freezing my ass off.
Let's see, we had:
a catch-drop worthy of a blooper reel (thank you, Geronimo Gil),
two home runs,
a foul ball caught by accident when a parent saw something headed towards a child's head,
a ninth-inning comeback that would've been a tie if the runner had made it to home plate a SECOND sooner,
and a streaker who climbed down from the center field bleachers in the eighth inning and got so far as to mimic batting at home plate before security - four of them - pinned him down.
We might have won if the first pitcher hadn't WALKED so many of the Sox in the third inning... but damn, that was fun. Even if I should have brought a blanket. I pity the poor people who were foolish enough to leave at the 7th inning. They missed all the good stuff.
My only real disappointment: that our six or so attempts to start the wave just for the hell of it didn't take. :)
Best $5 I've spent in a long time. (Student discount. They don't ask if you're a FORMER student...)
