I can deal with in-class group projects like labs, where everyone's in the same place at roughly the same time. In those cases I can buy the excuse that it's prepping us for the "real world."
But in the real world, in MOST IS jobs, your group usually works in the same general area during the same core hours using the same resources, and doesn't try to fit meetings into drastically different schedules that have to accommodate kids/work/other classes and the fact that you're all on opposite ends of the state. Which is why the usual group projects suck even when you HAVE a hard-working and good group. (Not to mention that the "real world" project is usually high on everyone's mental priority checklist since it's usually job-related, not shoved down below their actual day job.)
Makes me sorry I couldn't get the fall semester paid for. I might have been able to take another class with this if I didn't have to pay out of pocket this time.
