just one post-Christmas thing...

So, I had a very nice Christmas, got to see family, ran around like a crazy person, the usual. I got a lot of gifts, but they pale in comparison to just one. Back when I graduated from high school, Mom decided she was going to make me a story quilt. By hand. She'd been working on it on and off for years, and had to put it away because it was so time-consuming.

Christmas morning, she handed me a big bag. Guess what was inside. She'd finally finished it. After TEN YEARS. There are no words for how awesome this gift is. But there is a picture.

Birth (from the top left panel with the blocks) to entering college. The four little schoolhouses are the public schools I went to, the W was the academic letter I got in high school, and the H was the Hood College logo when I started there. It was going to be a lot more linear, but that would have taken too many panels. :)
