It has begun. Finally. How long have I been threatening to do this?
Lesson for the evening: CSS sucks.* (But Cyberduck is a nifty FTP program. I like the synchronize option.)
However, I think I'm liking the purple beach theme. I may keep that up when appropriate for the revamp.
Goodnight, folks.
*CSS = Cascading Style Sheets, a necessary evil if I'm going to get my website up to my coding standards after 10 years in professional web development.

Date: 2011-03-28 11:20 pm (UTC)Point of clarification: I hate creating CSS layouts. I'm fine with it once I've got the basic layout set up how I want it and all the major bugs worked out in the style sheets - editing isn't an issue, but creating from scratch takes me forever. It doesn't help that I don't work with CSS on a daily basis anymore since they standardized a lot of styles at work. So I'm always glancing back at CSS2 reference pages, which don't always have examples in context.
And I have looked up free CSS templates, but most of the ones I've seen offer an entire pre-made layout, which is sometimes hard to tweak, not quite what I was looking for, and frankly, it feels like cheating. :)
