The subject was me on Friday, October 3, commenting on the vibrating and loud noise beneath my feet at work.
Anyway. Not eager to go in tomorrow, although I'm about to crawl into bed.
A note: For those who are confused, yeah, I'm in the process of setting up a separate journal strictly for random, non-fic-or-website-related, and personal stuff -
mandichaos. I just refuse to actually make the switch until I can figure out customization. Help would be appreciated. I just need to set up frames so I can make the posts scroll but the background stay static. I know how to do it in CSS, at least I *should* know how, the problem is doing it in LJ. If anyone out there can help, I'd appreciate it.
Taped Tarzan. Watched it half-heartedly. I'll wait til Lucy Lawless' character appears next week in the hopes she'll liven it up a bit.
Picked up the last copy of Fake volume 3 this weekend. *snerk* So Drake is officially JJ's partner? Oh, dear. War, my creativity demons are cackling over this. I think your Drake needs to run and hide while I swat some of them.
Bed now. More tomorrow.

Date: 2003-10-05 07:54 pm (UTC)Also, to achieve a static background, use the tag.
BTW, tell me if the code doesn't come out so that I can send it in a text file for you.
And when doing this, make sure to check your global overrides, because that drove me nuts when I did the new layout for my journal.
The CSS code works basically the same in livejournal. With one exception.
Livejournal has it's own code thingie where you go %%command or whatever%% and the %%'s are like <'s and >'s in HTML.
So if you did a div tag and you wanted that to be the tag where your entries were you'd put:
%%events%%
Again, if you want frames or iframes, then you're barking up the wrong genius, but I think your look can be achieved via the div style thingie.
Let me know if this helps (or doesn't)!
