Sometimes I hate logistics...

Trying to work on "Sharp Edges", and damn, I wish I could just BS my way through the setting. But no, if part of a chase scene's going to take place in Central Park, then the demons aren't happy if it's not authentic. So I have to figure out where the chase would be, where they'd pop out and if it's an exit that I can bullshit if I haven't been there. (Oh, and there has to be a couple of parked cars...)
Not to mention that I've reread prior parts and can't remember if I mentioned where Sara and Spike met aboveground to visit the Pit. (If it's too far away, making Spike get lost enough to have them pop out close enough to get to the attack on foot isn't going to work.)
Damn. I should have begged Kathy to make a Central Park stop after the Gathering this year so I could walk out the route.
After this story, I'm swearing off fight scenes unless a) I know the territory or b) I can MAKE UP the battleground.
Edit: Oh, and I just remembered - I said I'd be at a cookout at 1 pm today, and then working on sound tech for a play from 2-4. I'm not showered yet and the person who said she'd cut my hair this morning is still in bed, so that's out. Gah. And I wonder why I never get fic done.

*sigh*
